Join us to celebrate our students’ achievements at the 31st Annual Essay Contest Awards Ceremony Brunch where we will recognize students (6th - 12th grade) who wrote winning essays.

About the event
Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc. is celebrating the thirty-first anniversary of our Essay Contest. The Awards ceremony to recognize the twelve winning students, who will receive cash awards, is on Saturday, May 19th, at 9:30 a.m. at the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, 2117 E. 7th Ave., Tampa, FL 33605. The cost is $25 per person. A portion of the proceeds benefit our scholarship fund.
The Tampa Bay area community is invited to join us in celebrating our students’ achievements.
Students from grades 6th-12th participate by writing an essay of 800 words or less on the topic: "Living in a time of such discourse in our society, as a Hispanic, what do I want my legacy to be?" The essays are written in English or in Spanish.
